Ferrari and Samsung Display have signed an agreement on high-end display solutions for the latest generation cars. The collaboration will allow Samsung to strengthen its expertise in the world of supercars while Ferrari expects a turnover of 5.7 billion euros for 2023.
The iconic Italian luxury car brand Ferrari has signed a protocol agreement with Samsung to develop high-end display solutions for the latest generation of super-tech Ferrari models. Samsung Display will be responsible for creating an OLED solution specifically designed for these exceptional cars.
To celebrate their partnership and future plans, Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna and Samsung Display CEO Dong-Hoon Lee attended the signing ceremony together in Korea at the Asan campus. This is the second collaboration of the year for Samsung Display, the South Korean brand that had already provided screen supports for the presentation of the famous Porsche 356.
Benedetto Vigna, CEO of Ferrari, is a great fan of new technologies and has been aiming to advance digital solutions applied to new car models since his arrival at the head of the Italian brand in June 2021. For Samsung, this partnership expands the company's expertise in the world of supercars, enhancing the group's prestigious status.
Samsung is the world leader in OLED displays, and it is likely that the high-end technology developed for Ferrari will offer an immersive visual experience through thin, curved OLED displays specifically designed for sports car dashboards.
Ferrari ended 2022 with record sales of 5 billion euros, an increase of +19% compared to the previous fiscal year. While the legendary house of the "cavallino" honored 13 221 deliveries last year, the figures for 2023 are already looking very positive with a full order book for the entire year and a turnover forecast of 5.7 billion euros.
