According to the latest Brand Finance Luxury & Premium 50 2023 ranking, Porsche has secured the top position as the most valuable brand, with an estimated value of $36.8 billion.
German car manufacturer Porsche has been ranked first in the new Brand Finance Luxury & Premium 50 2023 index, taking its position as the world's most valuable luxury brand with a value of 36.8 billion US dollars. The brand has topped the ranking for six consecutive years. Louis Vuitton comes second with a valuation of $26.3 billion, followed by Chanel at $19.4 billion and Gucci at $17.8 billion. A special mention goes to Lamborghini for its dazzling growth of 123%, the strongest performance this year.
Each year, Brand Finance, a brand valuation consultancy, conducts in-depth analysis of 5,000 leading companies across various sectors and publishes numerous reports ranking brands by nationality and activity, highlighting the 100 most valuable and strongest brands.
Porsche's customer loyalty strategy is based on personalized products and customer experiences. Its Sonderwunsch program, which allows customers to participate in the design of their car, has been highly successful.
Alex Haigh, Director of Brand Finance, commented: "This focus on individualization builds customer loyalty and helps brands stand out in a crowded market." He added: "The luxury sector is no stranger to new sustainable trends, and is increasingly using eco-friendly materials and implementing more ethical sourcing and production practices.” It's a fact that, as part of its analysis, Brand Finance evaluates the role of specific brand attributes in driving brand value, and sustainability is becoming an increasingly important attribute. And one of these attributes, increasingly important today, is sustainability. Based on the luxury houses' commitment to sustainability, the consultancy assigns an "indexed score" that influences the overall brand valuation.
Porsche also holds the highest Sustainability Perception Value (SPV) among all brands included in the ranking, with a value of $8.1 billion.
