With his new fashion label Objects IV Life, American artist Daniel Arsham, author of the concept of "fictional archaeology" is creating streamlined uniforms for a creative life.
The Cleveland-born artist has just launched his own clothing brand: Objects IV Life. Daniel Arsham is an eclectic designer and this is not his first venture into the fashion world. He has already collaborated with several brands, from the world of luxury such as Tiffany and Dior to ready-to-wear brands such as Uniqlo and Adidas, among others. Today, the artist presents a collection in which most of the models are made from unsold and recycled fabrics or ecological materials.
With its original patinas and metal alloys, Arsham's style is recognisable with its emblematic motifs and recurring visual themes such as the erosion of materials. The artist's touch can be seen in the smallest details, such as the zippers made of rare metal alloys.
Daniel Arsham now wants to dress "the craftsmen of the 21st century". He offers comfortable work blazers and shirt-jackets with multi-pockets, flowing hoodies, vintage denim jeans, jumpers made of thermal fabrics suitable for extreme cold, as well as a wide range of accessories: canvas bags and purses, work boots covered in linen.
The colours are monochrome, the tones natural and soft. The identity of the collection, inspired by the industrial world, is reflected in each piece presented. The entire collection is already available on the brand's website.
A great admirer of ancient sculpture and architecture, Arsham sculpts and designs the "future relics of the present", through casts of modern objects presented as if they had been eroded by time.
Design, another great playground for the artist, is also a sector in which Ashram has shone this year. For the last Monaco Grand Prix, he designed an astonishing sculpture in crystal and amethysts representing an eroded racing helmet in collaboration with seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.
He has also just won the Fuorisalone Award 2022 at the Milan Design Week, where he presented, in partnership with furniture manufacturer Kohler, a giant sculpture called Divided Layers, inspired by a stylised sink, deconstructed and transformed into a tunnel.
An artist to watch, Daniel Arsham has not finished surprising us.

Collaboration between Balenciaga and Adidas
The king of sports equipment and the fashion house made their collaboration official this weekend.
By Eva Morletto
Fashion house Balenciaga has been named by Time magazine among the world’s leading companies.
The famous British media Time has selected the most powerful companies in five categories: titans, leaders, innovators, pioneers and disruptors. Unsurprisingly, all the GAFAs are at the top of the list, as well as tech giants like Sony. It is therefore a surprise to see in this ranking the fashion house Balenciaga, defined as the symbol of French luxury.
