The French group Beneteau has just announced a net increase in 2022 revenue by +23% to 1.5 billion euros. Sales in the fourth quarter even rose by +56.6% at 476 million euros, compared with 2021.

The world of travel, tourism and yachting is recording a significant increase in activity, after the two years of pandemics. At Beneteau, the order book is full and allows the company to forecast sales of more than €1.66 billion in 2023, an increase of 10% compared to 2022. These projections, communicated on December 5, have removed uncertainties related to the still very unstable global geopolitical context and the limitations of world trade impacting the supply chain of components.

Among the positive factors noted by the company's management is the enthusiastic reception by the sector's players of the technical innovations presented at boat shows in recent months, as well as the market for sailboats and motorboats of more than 8 meters, which is showing increasingly remarkable performance.

Another interesting fact is that Beneteau has been able to reduce delivery times by improving operational management and reducing delays in invoicing (an 80 million euro invoicing catch-up boosted the positive results). Growth in the Boat Division has benefited from the measures taken at the beginning of 2022 to increase production capacity, particularly in the Multihull Sailing and Dayboating segments, which are highly sought after by the US market.

Since 1884, the family-owned shipyard Beneteau has evolved and diversified from fishing to yachting. Today, the Beneteau Group, through its 17 brands and services, has developed unique skills and know-how in boating and living.
