The architectural wonders of eco-sustainability

Architectural firm Mario Cucinella Architects and the School of Sustainability, with the help of collaborative 3D printing technology WASP, have created the first eco-sustainable 3D printed house from raw earth in Ravenna, Italy. The project named TECLA (technology and clay) represents an innovative circular housing, with near zero emissions thanks to its cladding and the use of an entirely local material. Its atypical shape has allowed the structural balance of the construction, giving life to an organic and visually coherent design.
