Symbolic architecture in the middle of nature
In 2018, Sarfannguit, a cultural landscape in West Greenland, was listed as a UNECO World Heritage, and since last year, the Qaammat pavilion decorates its scenery. Designed by Konstantin Ikonomidis as a poetic and aesthetic, the site-specific installation aims to represent a symbolic gesture acknowledging the natural site and rich history, the distinctiveness of the Greenlandic culture, and the spiritual sensibilities rooted in Sarfannguit.
