Bitcoin and the Swiss Alps

Switzerland has been emerging as one of the world’s strategic regions for cryptocurrencies in recent years, providing a solid legal foundation for blockchain-based trading. Several digital currency finance companies are now established in Switzerland and the possibilities for cryptocurrency payments are growing, such as the Chedi Andermatt luxury hotel in the Swiss Alps, owned by Egyptian billionaire Samih Sawiris. Indeed, his guests can now pay for their stay in bitcoin or Ethereum. Not far from the resort, the canton of Zug, also known as Swiss Crypto Valley, is the first to accept cryptocurrencies for tax payments since February 2021.
