Architecture and fashion photography
From architect to fashion photographer, that is the story of Chiron Duong, born in 1996 in Vietnam, graduated in Landscape Architecture, and whose interest for photography arose through an observation: architectural and photographic practices are largely similar, both operating around light, shapes, proportions and colours. Furthermore, his willingness to represent Vietnamese traditional culture and other Asian countries, from its mysticism and folklore, to faith and religion, led him to this new aspiration. This can be seen in his project “Portraits of Ao Dai”, 365 images portraying all the textures of traditional Vietnamese costume. Chiron Duong received the first place Picto Prize for Fashion Photography 2020 and his work has been successfully exhibited in France.
