A temple dedicated to glaciers

250 km north of the polar circle on the West coast of Greenland is situated Ilulissat. The Icefjord area carries over 4000 years of cultural heritage and is essential for understanding of climate change. In 2004, this unique natural habitat was placed on the UNESCO world heritage list. Dorte Mandrup designed the Icefjord Center which first opened its doors in July 2021, allows an understanding of the human history through the evolution of the glaciers.
