Polimoda, the renowned private fashion school founded in Florence by Shirley Goodman and Emilio Pucci, is launching the new edition of the Master Retail and Omnichannel Fashion Management in collaboration with Gucci.
Starting this year, the course plans to take an innovative approach to preparing future industry talent for the fashion and luxury professions. The aim is to offer training that will enable them to deal with an "omnichannel" context, i.e. to be able to analyse and find inventive solutions to all situations in which the customer uses several channels - real or virtual - to discover the brand and live the shopping experience in a new way.
On May 23rd at 18:00 Polimoda and Gucci will present a webinar open to all. This virtual meeting will allow to approach the new opportunities related to retail management. The analysis will focus on the fashion world, which is increasingly confronted with growing consumer demands. If luxurious shop windows, boutiques designed by the best designers and influencers' blogs inviting people to discover the brands have become commonplace instruments to present products and build customer loyalty, it is necessary to develop new strategies by tapping into the digital universe to offer new experiences to consumers.
The Master proposes to prepare future salespeople for this task and to train young talents for the new challenges that place the customer at the centre of concerns and that aim to make the purchase an ever more "à la carte" and customised experience. New ways of presenting products, new interactions with the customer, enhancing the customer's personality, increasingly immersive and exclusive experiences: Polimoda and Gucci are joining forces to achieve this.
The new Polimoda Master will take place in Florence from October to June. The course will be taught by professors from the fashion and luxury sectors. Throughout the year, conferences will be organised with the participation of representatives of Gucci's top management, as well as educational visits to the company's offices.
The transmission of sales and entrepreneurial skills is now a priority objective of the major luxury brands. Hermès recently opened the Ecole des Artisans de la Vente and Jimmy Choo launched its innovative London Fashion Academy in London.
